Throttle modifications improve on the stock throttle and brake linkages in various ways to increase available braking power and ensure the carburettor opens fully.

Mr Snuggles' Mod
This mod was pioneered by a Savage Central member Mr Snuggles who realised by removing a small portion of the stock brass collar, some stress could be unloaded from the throttle servo. The mod works by removing the duty of returning the carburettor to closed during idle and braking from the throttle servo, instead relying on a Throttle return spring to perform this action. This means that the servo is not loaded by the carburettor during the braking phase and thus can expend all of it's torque soley on braking. This mod requires the use of a throttle return spring.
The modification is performed by removing 8mm or so of material from the brass collar in the servo horn.
The original forum thread detailing the modification can be found here. A Youtube video of the modification can be found here.
