Re: Finally Got It!!! Racer Suspension

I found a little thing that need to be addressed.... I noticed that between the knuckle and the upright that the steel knuckle bushing was already wearing into the knuckle taking the annodizing away....Just from turning the wheels back and forth! Not even driving it, let alone with the total weight ...

I've been thinking about that Aqua tank for awhile too. So it fits width wise but how's the length and depth?

Re: extended tvp's yes or no????

Extended also helps in rough terrrain. The truck doesn't get upset as easily as the shorter stock length chassis does.

Re: revised x SS kits

Actually it wasnt because i asked if they would be efective on the .25 rtr over the ones that already come on it. a comparison between the x and x ss doesnt help me ALL the answers are on HPI's site. They show a list of what's backwards compatable from the newer X trucks and the older .25 trucks. T...

Re: Just bought these Shock Shaft Pliers

yeah... It has nothing to do with the material of the tool. It's the fact that is pinches the shaft with a small footprint which grabs it easier.

Re: Just bought these Shock Shaft Pliers

I use a pair of $5 wire stripper/crimpers and use the yellow hole crimper part. Been doing this for years and works EXACTLY like the $30 "shock shaft tool"

Re: 8 Ball Ends and 4 Ti-Rods???

If I understand correctly..... each turnbuckle had one clockwise (right hand) thread and one counter clockwise (left hand) thread....right? This is normal. One side needs to be reversed so you CAN adjust the length while the turnbuckle is installed on the truck. The stock setup does not allow this. ...

Re: *NEW* HPI WHEELY KING 1/12th SCALE *NEW*

my two current crawlers are running TLT axles with stealth trannys and pede drive shafts. The Wheely King's axles look like the same width but thicker. It's like a 10th scale diff in that axle so... but we're dieing for stronger stuff so this is the next natural progression for sure.

Re: *NEW* HPI WHEELY KING 1/12th SCALE *NEW*

the truck is a 1/12 scale so yes the tries are around BIG 2.2 size (Moabs, Masher 2Ks) The tires on the WK are 5.4" a little bigger than 2.2's.

I'm dfffinietely picking one up. Run brushless in it for a week then rape the axles outta it and make another crawler.

Punctuation and capitalization go a long way. They can determine the difference between: helping your uncle jack off a horse, and helping your Uncle Jack, off a horse.

the main reason RPM made them was not to reduce weight or add regidity it was to take out all the freakin' slop the stock arms have. It's a huge improvement and should be a good enough reason to buy them. Plus they have a lower overall profile wich adds ground clearance.

It would fit but your adding an entire revolution! It would be really low gearing. The Hellfire has it cause a center diff is geared too high by nature (and lack of gearing options) so they needed to add low end somewhere else in the drivetrain. IMO too much work to get lower gearing. Clutch Bells g...

don't even need to go through all that trouble. Just remove the stupid cap o-ring and crank down the cap. Never have had a problem in three years of running them like this. The cap w/ o-ring deisgn wasn't thought out enough, the o-ring makes them leak, the complete opposite of what it should be doing.
