Re: New Servo - What else do I need?

i built a savage based shelf queen, both the savox servos messed up my linkeages for steering and throttle/brake. fit in all my savages ok. i just havent researched the 7.4v batteries very much. didnt actually realize how different the steering was between the flux and X/xl's till a couple weekends ...

Re: New Servo - What else do I need?

i ran into a couple instances where my savox was a bit too tall. otherwise it fit like any other servo. now if i could only get them to run on 7.4v like in my flux. steering is way more responsive in flux (7.4v lipos) vs the 6.0v (hump packs) in my nitro savages!

Re: New Servo - What else do I need?

your steering already has a built-in servo saver, like MTHEAD said. wouldnt be anymore safe to run one on the servo.steering bearings will do wonders for steering perfiormance and will let you get the most out of the aftermarket servo!

Re: looking for a part name

i took an old round savage 25 bulkhead brace and  cut it with a dremel into the sice i needed. had to drill the holes a bit bigger before i cut it so the pins would go through. cheap fix, Cost $0

Re: Savage x side plates on 25?

if you purchase an aftermarket
frame like FLM, they have the holes for braces to be mounted behind the hingepin, but the stock ones dont come with that option!

Re: Savage x side plates on 25?

your brace is in the wrong spot. it should be mounted back behind the steering linkeage where the hole are in the frame. theres no brace that holds the hingepins in place or support the plastic ears on the skidplate that function as the hingepin stops. the brace mounts in the last set of holes to th...

Re: Integy aluminum Bell crank?

when i built orange crush i bought the T1 version. in order for the FLM draglink to work properly i had to grond the mount bushings down to match the thickness of the draglink so the steering would work prpoerly and the screws would non bind
