Just got back from searching for a spot and everything is fenced in now..

I did find 1 place and ran for about an hour when a cop came and ran me out off of Sand Canyon and nightmist behind the school district buildings....

The Cop told me everywhere around there is Private property......

Sucks.....but I will keep looking around..

I am going to check out Azusa Canyon next week

I went all over today and found a decent spot in costa mesa at Fairview Park......

it has a few hills and jumps,Berms.....its pretty big but BMX guys use some parts of it...... its better than nothing right now......

actually has a big tabletop jump .....

only downside you have to walk from the parking lot out past the grass area... lots of kids running around with the usual questions ,how fast and can I try it.......

good thing is its ok for RC Cars..Nitro cars are fine ...Cops were there and didn't say a word...guys fly planes on the other side of the park also

I live right by that park and I used to use it all the time (back a few years ago). I am now getting back into the hobby, so I stopped by the park today. There is a sign that says remote controlled cars are forbidden. I am not sure how well enforced the law is, but it exists nonetheless.

Any updates on other spots that people have visted? I would like an alternative to the spot I addressed above.

Well, at the moment I can only think of one open dirt area that one could run a nitro car around at and not get busted. I figure I might as well share it in case anyone lives near and wants to check it out.

It's in the top left hand corner of the image (where Trabuco Creek Rd starts right off of Trabuco Canyon Rd).

It is in Trabuco Canyon near Irvine and Lake Forest. Basically, it

fairview park.... oh the memories.
i first moved here 6 years ago, and found the Orange County Tmaxxers club, or something like that. our big hangout was fairview park, aparently right before this, mile square park was closed down, just up the road. used to have a couple of buggy tracks. we had fairview for a couple of years but courious kids getting in the way of jumps, eventually one got hit and since then weve been kicked and gone. you could probbly run once or twice without problem, but it wont take long, people around socal like to call it on you for any reasion they can, and with a sign there, its only a matter of time before its a "big issue" again. but that dirt area just off the parking lot behind that sign is just awesome with natural jumps and the such. miss it alot.
i allways keep my eye out, but land is just worth to much around here, its all owned, state or city land and FENCED =(

theres a great spot thats still open to RC cars up golden west st, about 2 miles from the ocean, just a tad inland from the disc golf place, actually its in the field next to it. theres a gravel parking lot and a well used area. building a good jump is useless, kids on bmx bikes and such well tear it apart within days, and its a well used area in a lot of ways so be carefull when running there, but its alot of fun and still open to us, use it while you can. havent been there in a while but it became popular about 3 years ago with people.

we need an area left alone by other people, so we can do some changes for our cars that actually stick around. hard to find around here.
im allways on the lookout.

Holy *censored*. So im back to these forums after about what? a year?

This thread is still alive. I kinda been off bashing lately due to school and a broken collar bone but i wanna get back again, but i think my rotostart/batteries/chargers are crapped out so imma buy a pull start. I've also notice the half tank lean problem. I remember hearing about it way back when but i cant find a fix using the "search" button. Anyways yea, i wanna look to hit up some sites soon. Getting my license in a couple of weeks. :D

I'm up for a good bash session....

There is this one school I pass by every morning and thought they look like they have some nice areas that could be nice to beat some Savys on:
23236 Jeronimo Rd Lake Forest CA

Anyone run here before? I'm sure at least one of t kids at this school would own an RC Truck.
