Is this forum still active? Looks as if all of the postings are dated last year. Although I have been absent for some time, the information on the Savage-Central forum is invaluable. Sooooooo... Where is everyone?

I'm on Facebook but not part of any RC groups there. I guess I'll have to do some searching and see what's going on at Facebook.Something tells me it will not be like these fine forums... Dave

Nope, theres a lot of idiots giving bad advice and false info. No way for new people to know who really knows there stuff. Most that do dont comment. I used to call the idiots out on their bs, but that is an endless task.
Also no data base. Stickies are gold on forums.

Maybe create a Closed Group on Facebook with Moderated postings that refer back to this forum? I don't know if that is feasible or not.... I was a regular here back in 2008. I have a savage flux on the way from ebay. I figured I'd check back In 10 years later. Kind of bummed my old video links don't work anymore... Google iced me out lol. I'm on some Facebook rc groups but forums are more informative and way easier to search for older info.

I still check the forum just about daily to see if anyone posts. Not a lot of action here any more, I remember back when my wife would be upset it took me an hour just to go through new posts on here.

Hello Newbie here. I don't do Facebook as it just seems a way for spineless people to *censored* about each other and i'm a face to face guy and proud of it. Used to be an avid biker till disability came. Just bought an "ss" with no engine with the idea to go brushless but the expense got me to put a 3.5 motor in instead. Had an esavage a few years ago and can't believe how different they are. Hard to see why they even got the same name.

Welcome.
Yeah, calling the e-savage was a mistake IMO, it might look the part, but that's about it.

The XS does a good job if upholding the durability standard with the exception of the stock outdrive cups. Go HD air and you're good to go. I went with the set of hot racing. Things so much fun at the BMX dirt jumps.

The XS is way closer to the original savage the the e-savage ever could be.wheelspinn wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 9:57 amThe XS does a good job if upholding the durability standard with the exception of the stock outdrive cups. Its still active in my book. Even if I dont post for a year or so. SC is a asset I refer to often. I would have never made it in nitro without SC and some of her members.
I always wanted to race and got a 1/8 nitro buggy which has taken most of my hobby time but I still love the savage.
